Casual Turf Hire

Yes, you can hire access to use the hockey turf in Kapiti.  This is a special offer for local families to gain access for personal use only.  This is a non-priority arrangement offered to  small groups to practice throughout daylight hours and only if the turf is available, special conditions apply. 

Casual ad-hoc turf access during non peak times for hockey practicing.

We would like to give everyone the opportunity to use the turf when it is not booked by a high priority user.   If anyone is interested in coming in, please check read the information below.  If you fill in the form scan and email it back to us we can process it faster.  If you arrange payment I can send you access to the turf using the lock box key pretty quickly.

If fire alarm sounds, please exit the turf immediately – check that no one is inside the ablution block.

Rules:

This is a non-priority arrangement, where access is only available if the turf is free and it is for personal practice only

  • The registered hirer must be present at all times
  • It does not include use of lighting or watering.
  • No code to the lock box = no access
  • Groups must not exceed five people at any one time
  • Turf lights must NOT be used
  • Any equipment moved, must be returned, please don’t leave the tyres or wood out on turf.
  • Stationary large Hockey goals must not be moved .
  • Small side goals must be pushed back and sand bags put on the tyres in case wind comes up.
  • Ad hoc users must vacate the turf when booked users arrive. You can check the online booking system but please be aware occasionally last moment bookings occur and may not be updated in the turf calendar.   
  • Turf and changing rooms must be locked on exit. 
  • Children under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times.  Make sure you lock your vehicles.
  • You can pull the gate in behind you, so it looks closed.
  • Please don’t tomahawk or overhead the ball toward the housing area, parked cars by the gymnasium or our building. 
  • If any damage or injuries occur, please report it to us.

Adhoc Key Hireage Charges – all must be paid in advance please
